The axolotls at the Butterfly House have laid eggs!

Hold on to your hats, something amazing is happening right now at the Butterfly House! Our axolotls, the strange salamanders that keep their gills throughout their lives, have laid eggs. And this is no ordinary event, it's a real miracle of nature! 🐟✨

An axolotl lies next to its eggs

The female carefully places her eggs on plants and rocks under the water. Soon, small larvae will hatch, already fully equipped with gills and ready to explore the world.

Being able to follow this process up close is a unique experience. Don't miss the opportunity to see our little newcomers 💚
